Joann Lindsey has written about a collection of smart productivity habits in this book. The book is the third one in the series, with the two preceding it being Easy 10-Minute (or Less) Habits that Change Your Life: Become Fitter, Happier, Wealthier, and More Successful! And 52 Smart Habits to Manage Your Money and Grow Wealth: Discover How to Improve Your Finances in 10 Minutes a Day.
The book is divided into six cleverly titled chapters with a total of 48 tips. Joann Lindsey does a great job listing out all the tips and tricks you need right at your fingertips.
Each habit is given as a short note, and that was the best part about the book. It is concise, fast to read. The habits can be implemented in just 10 minutes or less of your time. The chapters make it easier to find a trick to help you when you’re stuck in an unproductive rut. Almost all the tips are immediate-use, and anybody can use these tricks irrespective of career type or age.
One negative was that you could find most of the tips on the Internet. But I have no regrets. The original habits given are great, and I think everyone should have a book handy like this handy because you never know when you’re going to need it.
I also believe it couldn’t have come at a better time. When we’re all in quarantine and stuck at home, and there’s nothing but distractions everywhere, we need a book full of tricks to keep us or get us back on track. Employing these 10-minute techniques can increase your productivity so fast, you won’t know what hit you. I would stick to the author’s advice given to start with one habit and then move on to the next instead of reading the book in one go. Besides, it’s habits to build not a book to read and get over with.
